PANCREATIN - For Better Digestion

The Pancreas is a large gland located in the upper abdomen. It serves two functions. One is to produce insulin and glucagon to help regulate metabolism. The other is to produce pancreatic juice where it aids digestion.

Pancreatin is a mixture of enzymnes: lipase for fats, protease for protein and amylase for breaking down carbohydrates. Full strength Pancreatic Enzymes also contains other enzymes including trypsin and chymotrypsin.

Pancreatin is a digestive enzyme used to supplement loss or low levels of digestive enzymes. It has been claimed to help with food allergies, celiac disease, autoimmune disease used as an anti-inflammatory, to reduce pain and stiffness from arthritis and for weight loss.

Enzymes work best when taken just before, during and immediately after a meal. When possible, swallow the tablets whole, do not chew. Those individuals at risk for gastric or duodenal ulcers may want to avoid enzyme supplements which may aggravate ulcerated tissues.

Pancreatin is an effective enzyme supplement for replacing missing pancreatic enzymes used in a number of essential body processes.
